Similar to the Willis 40 taper bridge type machining centers, Willis Machinery's 50  taper bridge type machining centers have been designed and constructed in order to meet the demands of most metalworking applications while ensuring the highest customer satisfaction for a very modest investment.  These 50 taper bridge type machining centers are equipped with a 30 Hp spindle motor as well as a high precision ball screw.  These bridge type machining centers maintain 35 inches of travel along their z-axis making these machining centers ideal for large mold work.  These 50 taper CNC machining centers are operated using a Fanuc CNC control with an A/C motor and drives.  Also included with these solid CNC bridge type machining centers is a high speed arm type tool changer capable of holding 60 tools. For maximum torque, these machining centers possess a high/low ZF gearbox with auto shifting abilities on their head.  A full enclosure, and a huge 11,000-17,600 lb. table load, work piece capacity help to ensure a clean, safe workspace while allowing these machining centers to perform huge metalworking operations.
